Questions

Good to know

Is it safe to visit Medellín and Cartagena?

Both cities are among Colombia's most visited places, and we build each trip around the precautions above: chosen neighborhoods, booked drivers and a guide on tour days. Colombia does carry an official U.S. travel advisory, so read the State Department's Colombia page before you book and enroll in STEP. Your agent is happy to talk through any concerns.

Do I need a visa?

U.S. citizens don't need a visa for tourist stays of 90 days or less. You'll need a passport valid for your whole stay (six months is recommended) and you must complete Colombia's free online Check-MIG form between 72 hours and 1 hour before your flight. Other nationalities should check with their consulate.

How does monthly autopay work?

After your deposit, your remaining balance is split into equal payments charged to your saved card on the same date each month. The number of payments depends on how far away your trip is, and the last one always falls at least 45 days before departure. You get an email receipt after every payment.

What if a monthly payment fails?

We'll email you a link to update your card and your agent will reach out. Your booking stays active while you sort it out.

Can I pay off my balance early?

Yes. Contact your agent any time to pay the rest in one go. There's no fee for paying early.

What isn't included?

International flights, travel insurance (strongly recommended), meals not listed on the itinerary, and tips for guides and drivers.

What if I need to cancel?

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel more than 45 days before departure, you lose only the deposit and any other payments are refunded. Inside 45 days, payments can't be refunded, which is one more reason to get travel insurance.
